
The minister in charge of Ghana’s Educational sector has stated that the sector will see a lot of transformation in the 2023. According to Dr. Yaw Edutwum, his ministry is undertaking a lot of transformational initiatives that will result in development of education in the country.
The member of parliament for the Bosemtwe constituency, said this when he visited his constituents.
The minister said government is working to boost education in science, mathematics, technology, engineering as well as creative art in the year 2023.
In 2023, we are going to pursue the various government policies in education. Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics education is going to get a boost. We are making preparations to open the Creative Arts Senior High School in Kumasi, Kwadaso.”

He further stated that, his outfit is bringing what is term communities of excellence to transform schools in villages and towns and that, the National Education Leadership Institute which is to train 21st century leaders in education is also expected to kick start this year.
In addition, our communities of excellence programme, where we transform schools in our villages and towns, is also going to see implementation this year”.
National Education Leadership Institute- an opportunity to train the 21st Century leaders in educational institutions is going to see a start in the 2023 year. So, it’s going to be an exciting year for those of us in education and an exciting year for the country as a whole.

In 2022, the educational sector in Ghana encountered numerous difficulties as a result of industrial strikes taken by various labor unions to express their unhappiness.
However, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, the minister of education, is optimistic that 2023 would be an exciting year for the education sector because numerous initiatives are being launched.
