No Ghanaian Coach wants the Black Star’s Job– Henry Asante Twum

According to Henry Asante Twum, who is the director of communication at the Ghana Football Association, many coaches from all over the world have sent in their applications for the vacant position of the Black Star’s coaching job.

However, he made a shocking revelation that there is no Ghanaian Coach among these applicants.

“I’m never surprised that coaches are constantly applying. Most of them are from European countries, and some too from South America. So far, no Ghanaian coach has applied for the Black Stars job,” he said.

Otto Addo resigned as head coach of Ghana following the country’s elimination from the FIFA World Cup in 2022, opening the position to compete.

James Kwesi Appiah, the former head coach of the Black Stars, did not completely rule out the prospect of returning to coach the men’s senior national team earlier this month.

Additionally, the GFA Communications Director stated that a new coach should be hired before the end of January 2023.

The Black Stars’ forthcoming African Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will commence in March, will be the prospective coach’s first assignment.
