
In the event that former President John Dramani Mahama decides to run in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential primary, Constituency chairmen of the NDC in the Greater Accra Region have formally announced their support and endorsement for him.
The Greater Accra Chairmen Caucus requested Mr. Mahama to lead the party until the 2024 elections after the party on Wednesday announced the specifics and procedures for the presidential and parliamentary primaries.
The thirty-three (33) chairmen assert that only President John Mahama is capable of leading the NDC and winning the elections in 2024. A chairperson for the Amasaman constituency has not yet been chosen.

The party’s rank and file were also urged by the chairmen to keep working to unite as a group and to get ready to begin the hard work necessary to win the election in December 2024.
The caucus chairmen advised Mr. Mahama to campaign vigorously and persuade members to support a branch or constituency in order to aid in the party’s decisive victory.
The Greater Accra NDC Constituency Chairmen were thanked by Mr. Mahama for their visit and statement.
The former president was joined by the former Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, his 2020 Running Mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyeman and the NDC’s 2020 Campaign Manager, Professor Joshua Alabi to receive the chairmen.
