He was recovered "with injuries," according to his club Hatayspor's first report, but a day later that statement was corrected. "It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well wishers that sadly Christian Atsu's body was recovered this morning," his agent Nana Sechere tweeted on Saturday. No Ghanaian Coach wants the Black Star’s Job– Henry Asante Twum

According to Henry Asante Twum, who is the director of communication at the Ghana Football Association, many coaches from all over the world have sent in their applications for the vacant position of the Black Star's coaching job. However, he made a shocking revelation that there is no Ghanaian Coach among these applicants. “I’m never surprised that coaches are constantly applying. Most of them are from European countries, and some too from South America. So far, no Ghanaian coach has applied for the Black Stars job,” he said. Otto Addo resigned as head coach of Ghana following the country's elimination from the FIFA World Cup in 2022, opening the position to compete. James Kwesi Appiah, the former head coach of the Black Stars, did not completely rule out the prospect of retu...

In September 2021, Pele underwent surgery to remove a colon tumor, and he has since received ongoing care. With 77 goals in 92 games, Pele is the all-time leading scorer for Brazil. The "Black Pearl," as Pele was known, won three World Cups, one Ballon d'Or, and an astounding 1,283 goals in his career. Africa to reach world cup final in 2026

As he reflected on the continent's great campaign in Qatar, Confederation of African Football (CAF) head Patrice Motsepe predicted on Wednesday that one African country will make it to the World Cup final in 2026. South Africa thinks that Morocco's trailblazing march to the 2022 World Cup semifinals in Qatar has created a foundation for both confidence and ambition going into the subsequent finals. He said, “I’m confident that in the next World Cup, an African nation will go further,” “The historic achievements of Morocco have made all of us in Africa uniquely proud. The future of African football is incredibly bright. “If you look at the talent on the continent, there’s 10-15 nations in Africa now that can compete at the highest level in the world and win.” It is a big st...

Otto Addo: There is a lack of trust in African coaches because of misinformation.

Otto Addo, a former coach for Ghana, asserted that the idea that "all good comes from Europe" contributes to the lack of trust in African managers. The assistant coach of Borussia Dortmund thinks that tales told to younger generations by elders are the source of this attitude. For the first time ever, native coaches led all five of the African nations that competed in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Twelve years ago, in South Africa, Serb Milovan Rajevac managed Ghana's best World Cup performance, leading the Black Stars to the quarterfinals. Otto Addo, who coached the four-time African winners at the tournament in Qatar, is certain that African coaches can do more if they are given the same resources and support as European coaches. “Our history plays a big part in this. When...

Qatar 2022: Despite their final defeat, France’s players were welcomed home to cheers in Qatar 2022. [VIDEO]

Despite losing to Argentina in the World Cup final on Sunday, France, the runners-up in 2022, was welcomed home with open arms. Because Aurelien Tchouameni and Kingsley Coman failed to convert their chances from the spot in the penalty shootout, there were worries that the players would be mistreated. While there was allegedly racist hatred directed at some players on social media, it was different when they landed in Paris. The players waved back from the top of a building, receiving thundering claps from a big number of supporters. At the Khalifa International Stadium, after 36 minutes of play, Argentina appeared to have eliminated France from the championship match. https://www.youtube.com/embed/yOw5YxSeJjg France welcomed home warmly.
